I had to share this amazing image. Read about this image here and what its all about.

I just had to feature this guy here as his work is amazing and original.  Here is a bit about the work.

Mixing sharp humour with a delicious edge of melancholy, “Little People in the City” brings together the collected photographs of Slinkachu, a street-artist who for several years has been leaving little hand-painted people in the bustling city to fend for themselves, waiting to be discovered…’ Oddly enough, even when you know they are just hand-painted figurines, you can’t help but feel that their plights convey something of our own fears about being lost and vulnerable in a big, bad city.’ – Source – The Times.

You can view more of his work over at his blogger site here and you can buy his book here like I did.

So these are some shots I took in Manchester using a Bronica ETRS Medium format camera. I shot them on colour transparency and scanned them in to my pc, although I did change them to black & white as they look much better. Please tell me what you think.

This set of photographs is by a photographer called Christian Petersen. He has documented life in the Everton area of Liverpool, singled out in a 2006 report as the poorest ward in the UK. I defiantly think that he has captured this well through his imagery.

These photographs are by Richard Billingham and are very famous so you may have seen it before, if not then see what you think. There are very mixed feelings about this work but I love it myself. The photographs were taken on the cheapest film he could find and are often in bad focus but I think this adds to the subject matter. The images were taken to show the poverty and deprivation in which he grew up. The images show his alcoholic Father and his violent looking Mother yet there is a strong emotion in the images and I get the feeling that there is still love between the couple by a few of the photographs. This is just a sample of his work so search him up if you want to see more.
